CMSA's Annual General Meeting (AGM)

By Webmaster 10/14/2019, 10:00am PDT

Come join us!

AGM date and venue update:   due to a last minute venue availability change, our AGM has been moved to Monday, Nov. 4th at 7pm, and being held at the Cloverdale Rec. Centre now.

Hello CMSA Families,

Cloverdale Minor Softball Association is holding our Annual General Meeting .  Come and hear a recap of the season, the success of our programs and how we plan to continue our growth in the sport that our kids love.  Join us on Monday, October 28 - 7:00pm at Shannon Hall (on the Cloverdale Rodeo Grounds), and receive a 20% discount on your 2020 season registration fee for one player in your family.

Fun fact: Did you know CMSA is one of the largest Minor Softball Associations in BC. Want to find out more and/or get more involved, then attending this meeting is a great opportunity to do so.

Our executive would love to have some new faces join the group … there are some roles that are currently open, some that need a succession plan and some that we haven’t thought of yet so tell us where you think you could help and we’ll figure it out J

Current Open Positions:

Equipment Manager – acquisition and hand out of equipment for the upcoming season and minor equipment/park repairs

Volunteer Coordinator – preparing the online volunteer sign up and reconciling volunteer time as it is completed

Uniform Coordinator – maintaining uniform inventory and preparing uniforms for the upcoming season

Social Media Specialist - maintaining our association presence on various social media platforms

Learn to Play/T-ball Leader – lead the new coaches in a station based approach of softball fundamentals

A number of our executive members are coming to the end of their kids’ minor playing careers and will be retiring over the next couple of years so we’re in the process of succession planning in the following roles: president, registrar, treasurer, secretary and web master.  We would like to start some job shadowing or sharing of the roles so that we can make smooth transitions as they happen.

If you would like to join our executive in some capacity please contact Sue Dawkins (CMSA Registrar) at registrar@cloverdalesoftball.com before the AGM so we can see where you would fit.

Thanks,

Your CMSA Executive Team.
