Fury 07A goes undefeated to win Gold and are U15A National Champions!!

The team came ready to compete against the strongest teams from across the country at the U15A Canadian Championships hosted in Saskatoon, SK this past week/weekend (Aug. 3rd-7th).

It was a great 5 days of competitive play by the team going 6-0 in round robin play, only giving up 13 runs, while scoring 57 runs.

In the playoffs the team won their first 2 games against the top 2 teams from ON (ON1 & ON2) with 10-0 shut out victories for both games, earning them a spot in the Gold medal game.

In the final game of the U15A National Championships it was an all BC match-up with hometown neighbours BC1 Cloverdale Fury 07A and BC2 Surrey Storm 07A meeting up once again. Fury took an 2-0 lead early in the game, and Storm answered back taking the lead 4-2 in the 3rd. Fury answered that back with 4 runs of their own in the inning and never looked back as they added 5 more runs in the 4th on their way to a 11-4 victory earning the Gold medal and the title of U15A National Champions!!

It was a true all around team effort, with solid defense, great/ timely hitting and base running, and fantastic pitching/catching from the batteries, which equated to a impressive 9-0 record, scoring 88 runs and only giving up 17 runs for the tourney.

Congrats to Storm 07A on a very competitively played tourney, who had already played two games on Sunday to reach the final, and to all 21 teams from across Canada who played so hard over 5 days!
