Hello CMSA Families and potential new members!
Registration for the 2021 season is now open and we look forward to seeing all of your children out at the park again this year! There is still uncertainty around what kind of season it will be due to the restrictions of Covid-19 but our plan is to get everyone back on the field. Based on how things unfolded last summer there will likely be a phased in approach such as starting with practice and development only, inter association games only, moving to district only games, then being placed in a bubble with a mix of teams from around the lower mainland for our older divisions. We have many safety and sanitization protocols in place to keep everyone safe which were and continue to be very successful with our Fury teams so we feel confident in rolling this out to all levels.
Since we are unsure of when the season will start, how long it will run, what we can offer, etc. the registration process will be a little bit different this year. At this time you are registering to commit your child to playing but we won’t be collecting any money now, once we have a set start date payment will be requested. Also new for this year is need for you to sign waivers relating to Covid-19. There are two links in the registration process to download the forms, these must be completed and attached in order to complete your registration. These waivers are a requirement by Softball BC and no one can be rostered to play or practice without them.

If you have an existing Sports Engine log in you will be able to use that or if not you will need to create one. You will then be asked to fill in the particulars for your child(ren) before choosing a registration option.
The division breakdown this year is as follows:
U5 – Learn to Play (2016) plays Tuesdays and Thursdays
U6 – T-ball (2015) plays Tuesdays and Thursdays
U8 – Mini-Mite (2013/2014) plays Mondays and Wednesdays
U10 – Mite (2011/2012) plays Tuesdays and Thursdays
U12 – Squirt (2009/2010) plays Mondays and Wednesdays
U14 – Peewee (2007/2008) plays Tuesdays and Thursdays
U16 – Bantam (2005/2006) plays Mondays and Wednesdays
U19 – Midget (2002/2003/2004) plays Tuesdays and Thursdays
Volunteer time is required by all families in the association but with the uncertainty of how things will run this year we are holding off on this piece for now and we will send more details when payment is requested. For now, when you get to the volunteer section of the registration package please select yes that you will do volunteer hours, do not select the opt out choice at this time.
We are always looking for coaches! There is a question regarding this as part of your registration so please indicate if you are interested. Coaching counts as your volunteer time and if you have multiple children playing it covers them all.
As information becomes available with regards to season start, etc you will receive emails from me with these details. The important thing right now is to get registered so that we can start forming teams and make sure there is a spot for everyone.
If you have any questions or looking for Fury Rep. specific registration info., please contact me at email@example.com.
