Wow, what a strange year this has been. It started normal as we all got ourselves prepared for the upcoming season. Teams were formed and practices held. Everyone was prepped, ready and raring to go.
Your executive was busy putting the final touches on schedules, field prep and tournaments. Uniforms had been handed out and everything was full steam ahead.
And then BANG the world came to a grinding halt. What we thought would pass in a couple of weeks ended up bringing us to where we are now.
A lot of time was spent, and a lot of work was done by a lot of people to try and get the season off the ground. Unfortunately, as you all know the season was cancelled for some and severely modified for others.
As we enter the holidays, we take time to reflect on the year past and look forward to the upcoming year and the possibilities it will bring.
I would like to thank all the coaches, parents, and players, who have worked so hard over the last year to keep up with the constant changes in order to keep everyone safe. Special thanks to Ryan and Sue who both put in countless extra hours.
I am looking forward to next season and plans are already being put forth so that, hopefully, whatever we may be faced with, we are prepared for.
On behalf of myself and my family I would like to wish all of you a safe and happy holiday.
Merry Christmas, stay safe, keep your bubble small, wear a mask and have a Happy New Year!
