Softball BC has updated their recent Return to Play Protocol information that was announced earlier this week. The primary change involves players and coaches outside their team's community being able to travel to their team's practices and/or training events. This is now allowed, but teams are still not allowed to travel outside their community to practice and/or train, which is in effect until Dec. 7th until further notice.

NEW RETURN TO PLAY GUIDELINES FOR CLOVERDALE MINOR SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION
As previously communicated, for Cloverdale Minor Softball Association the sanctioning for softball activities is being moved back to Softball BC’s Inning Three protocols found within Softball BC - Back to Bases Guidelines.
Additionally, the updated requirements below will be in effect through December 7th at midnight and apply to all areas of the province.
Softball BC has approved a NEW CLARIFICATION for members of a team travelling to their respective team activities. Under the current PHO orders restricting travel by sports groups, teams are required to hold activities within their own community and not travel to another community for softball activities.
Further to the CMSA memo dated November 21st, 2020 with details on compliance for sanctioning under the latest Provincial Health Officer orders, and a Softball BC communication via email specifying individuals travelling to their team activities we are providing the following update:
Softball BC has worked through ViaSport to gain clarification on the particular health order dealing with sport activity which prohibited travel outside your local community.
All Cloverdale Minor Softball team activities will need to be held within the community, but players and coaches are permitted to travel for the purpose of attending team activities.
It is a difficult time for us all, and we ask for your patience as we continue to work through these details on an ongoing basis with Softball BC, ViaSport and the PHO. Please continue to do your part, by following the protocols in place, and working with us in sport and in the community.
