Are you retired and have time to give back to the youth in the community? Are you a player who would like to know how the game looks from behind the plate? A long time softball supporter who thinks you have what it takes to be an umpire? We NEED you!
 

WORKSHOP DETAILS:
 

Umpire Development Workshop - for individuals of all ages with or without umping experience. Over the six weeks they will take you through a review of mechanics and game control.
 

Start Date: Saturday, January 4th (looking at 5-6 weeks of Saturday sessions)
Time: 10:00am – 1:00pm
Location: Softball City (upstairs office space)
All ages/levels welcome including those with no experience
No registration fee.
Presenters: Roberto Perez-Leon (Level 5 Umpire) and Kyle Dennedy (Level 4 Umpire)


Introduction to Technical Commission Workshop - Canada Cup is looking to train individuals to be liaisons between umpires and teams during major competitions. Learn the basics on the operational control of the game including documentation of lineup changes, coin tosses, scoring on competition boards, etc.
 

Start Date: Saturday January 18th (looking at 2-3 weeks of Saturday sessions)
Time: 1:00pm - 2:00pm
Location: Softball City (upstairs office space)
Basic knowledge of fastpitch required, availability during Canada Cup (July 3-12, 2020), very detail-orientated.
No registration fee.
