Purpose

Our goal is the continued growth and development of young players in a positive and fun learning environment where they will feel valued and respected as teammates.  The Cloverdale Minor Softball Association’s 2020 Super Mite program affords players with aspirations of playing competitive softball an opportunity to participate in an accelerated development program, complimentary to what is currently offered at the U10C level.  Tremendous responses to the program in terms of player interest, development and player/parent/coach feedback have aided in us reaching the decision to again offer the program for 2020.  We are pleased to announce we have appointed Nicole Tjepkema as Head Coach this coming season and Alex Tan will be joining her staff as Assistant Coach.

Program Overview

Player evaluation and selection for interested 2010 and 2011 born players will commence on January 10th, 2020 and complete February 28th prior to the start of the 2020 season.  At that time, an official roster for the 2020 Fury Super Mites will be named including the balance of the coaching and managerial staff allowing for in-season training, development and participation in competitive-level tournaments to begin in earnest.  It is the intention to have the Fury 2010 Super Mite players participate in the Super Mite interlock league play and it will be at the discretion of team management to secure additional exhibition games or tournaments if so desired, before playing in the annual Mite Championship at beautiful Squint Lake Park in Burnaby at the end of June.

CMSA and Cloverdale Fury have laid the groundwork for continued success and we are excited to once again bring this opportunity to young players looking to learn, develop and compete in a fun, rewarding environment while giving them some great exposure to what is ahead for them should they wish to pursue competitive softball in the years to follow.
